Weekend of Blessing

This past weekend, I had plans of relaxing on Saturday, and then preparing for a work event at a local church on Sunday.  Things did not go as planned, and I was very happy!

I got up pretty early on Saturday and actually made 5 new pieces for my Etsy shop, just after finishing that up, my best friend (who I have not seen since New Year's Eve) called and asked to do lunch, so of course I did!  We had a great convo and it was so good to catch up.  Just as we were wrapping up, she invited me to  her Church that night.  What was amazing, is that usually when I get invitations like that, my automatic brain reaction is to hesitate and find an excuse, but I jumped at the opportunity and told her yes!  I had no regrets.  I visited with her at the Church and we had an amazing time! The fellowship was great and I left with good resources, and the inspiration to even visit again! On Sunday, I visited another Church (as part of a work event where we had a booth) and I was again, truly blessed.  The fellowship there was great too and I got to meet many new people.

A while ago, I mentioned a book that I read, even mentioning that I knew the author, and I got that book on my Kindle and read it in a couple of days.  The book was touching, allowed me to think deeply about my own situation and shame and allowed me to pay closer attention to myself.  Well, on Sunday I was able to purchase the book and have the author sign it for me! Exciting!

I sorta stepped out of my comfort zone this weekend, and that was GREAT! I was able to feel comfortable at another Church and actually opened my heart to receive a blessing, and I believe I got that, and more than I bargained for!  I also allowed myself to set personal boundaries this weekend and for that I am proud.  I got to the gym and I was told that I don't look old enough to even have a driver's license! haha! that made my weekend complete for sure!

I am looking forward to a great week that is productive and peaceful.  I look forward to continued blessings, to keeping up with my healthy-eating choices and working out.  I did have a spoon of ice cream while visiting with my friend.  It was only a spoon because I could not even have the shot-glass full of ice cream as it seemed to be too sweet for me! I think that is major major progress!!!

Wishing everyone a great week!

Namaste....
